TIM DERRINGTON, AIA + LEED AP
Principal

Tim's youth was split between the realities of his conventional suburban upbringing and an education in the arts.  These worlds were often difficult to reconcile, but finding connections between dissimilar cultures has instilled an idealistic pragmatism in his work. Tim believes that inspiration and purpose are best delivered through hard work and collaboration between client, architect, builder, and craftsman. This translates to DBS and their projects through an active concern for creating unexpected results from simple, creative, and engaging design decisions.

BLAIR MCKAY
Associate

Blair’s passion first took hold as a young boy while learning the violin and grew from there into an appreciation for the arts. Later he was lucky enough to spend a year studying abroad in Europe. He is grateful to have learned French, lived amongst ancient buildings, and sampled the best Trappist beers in Belgium. Much of this formative experience is still an inspiration to him, and comes up in his ramblings as an adult, whether in a client meeting, out with his young family, or late night at the neighborhood watering hole.  He welcomes the challenge of bringing these experiences to bear in his design method and his focus is on imaginative yet composed solutions.

TAYLOR PERRY Intern/Admin Taylor has a keen interest in design, art, and exploring the nuances of life which perfectly qualifies him as the default studio sage. While not an architect, his skill set and disposition makes him an indispensable asset to the success of our operation. When not distracted with office chores, Taylor can be found as the last person at the bar, the first one awake at camp, the most generous person at the party, or the most helpful in the group.
